The Adventures of Penny, Mary & Black: The Surprise Party

It was a speical day.  Penny's birthday!  Penny was asking everyone if they thought it was a specal day by everyone said no.  But Penny never new they were tricking her!

"I almost told her!" said Black, as they grouped up.

"Me to!" exclaimed Jackie.

"I didn't" said Mary quietly.  "I only said 'Oh yeh I almost forgot I have to go to the library.'"  They all started giggling.

"Perfect trick!" said Jackie. "But wait a minute" thought Jackie.  "We haven't got her a present!"

"Or a cake!" cried Mary!

"Oh no! This is bad!" said Black.

"Don't worry" said Jackie.  "We'll think of something before her party."

"Her party!" exclaimed Black.  "You never told me she invited us to a party!"

"Well, I got an invite..."

"But..." interrupted Mary, "we need to get her something right now!"

"Okay. okay." Jackie finally agreed.  "Let's go."  She flung her leg over Black's back.

"Hey, I didn't say you could ride me!"

"Too bad!" Jackie snapped back at Black.  They started to go.

"Just a little grass?" begged Mary.

"No! No! No!" Jackie & Black said together.

"Oh all right." she finally gave in.  When they got to the store, Jackie got two lead ropes out of her bag.

"What are those for?" questioned Black & Mary.

"For you guys." she responded.

"You mean..."

"Yes!" Jackie exclaimed.

"No" moaned Mary & Black.

"Yes!" Jackie said as she put the lead ropes over their necks and tied them to a post.   "I'll go and get her a present while you guys stay put."  She turned to Black, "that includes you!"

"Uh..." murmured Black.  She went into the store.  When she got in a shocking sight almost made her puke.  There was Penny at the check out line.  Jackie quietly sneaked around her.  She went to the horse ile. Hmmmm....she thought.  This one is perfect.  She held it in one arm while searching for some money to give to the cashier.  While she was looking for money she didn't notice Penny who was trotting around come and try to identify what the present was.

"What's the present?" she asked.

Startled, Jackie looked up.  "Umm...Nothing" she said trying to hide the present.

"I know you have someth--" Suddenly Black and Mary came to the rescue.  "She said Nothing!" they both yelled.  Jackie hoped on Black's back and they were off.  They didn't even stop to pay!

"Hey!" yelled the cashier, "You need to pay!"  But the gang paid no attention.  They galloped across the plains until they got  to their barn.

"Whoe, that was close!" said Mary.

"Ok we have the present and I think she already has a cake so...."

"What! What!" Black & Mary started yelling.

"We can go to the party!" she exclaimed!

"Alright then let's go!" They yelled together.

Right before Jackie hopped on Black's back she asked "Can I ride you there?"

"No!" said Black.  "Just kidding" Black said before Jackie could turn around.

"Just get it over with!" said Mary.

"Get on already," said Black.

"Ok ok" said Jackie as she climbed on.  She clicked.

"I don't need those horse signals you know" yelled Black.

"Just getting you started," said Jackie.

"Let's go" urged Mary.

"Ok the directions say we need to go to teh paddock!"  she looked up. She looked surprised.

"That's right by this barn!" yelled Mary.

"Where's Black?" asked Jackie.  They looked out of the barn.  He was already half way to the paddock.

"Come on!" he yelled at them.

"We're coming!" they yelled back.

"Ok, I guess I have to ride you," said Jackie.

"That's fine with me," said Mary.  And they were off.  They finally got there.

"I guess it's a surprise party!" said Black.

"That's what it is you dummy!" exclaimed Mary.

"I am not a dummy!" said Black.

"This is what happened last Halloween," said Mary.

"Well you were the joker!" said Black.

"Yes but that's not a good excuse!"

"Well I don't care!" yelled Black.

"Well I fou--"

"WILL YOU TWO STOP IT?!" screamed Jackie.  The two froze.  "This is for Penny and your acting like this!" she said.  "Come on, we have to find that cake."

"Ok" murmered Mary & Black.

"Here it is!" exclaimed Jackie.  It had a carrot icing on top and green icing around the sides for leaves.

"It's beautiful" said Mary!  All of a sudden Penny walked in.  The gang went under the table.

"I guess no one is coming," sighed Penny.  Then without warning, they jumped out from under the table.

"Surprise" they yelled.

"Whoe!" said Penny.  "You guys scared me!"

"Well are we going to open presents or what?" asked Black.

"You bet ya!" Penny went and opened their present.  "Wow" she said, as she looked at it. "My favorite color!" she added. She looked at the beautiful blanket. "Um...Jackie can you help me pick it up?"

"Sure" said Jackie.  She put it on Penny's back.

"So who wants cake?" asked Penny.

One adum day the horses were grazing.  "Tomorrow is Halloween" said Penny.

"I didn't know that," said Mary.

"I'm going to be a pony prinsses!" said Black.

"That costume is for a girl silly!!!" said Penny.

"Well, anyways, I'm being normal me," said Mary.

"I'll be a pumpkin!" exclaimed Penny. "Jackie is going to help me"

Ok, thought Black, "I'll be a prinsess!" he finally said.

"Wow," said Mary. "You realy need to get brain sugerys."

"What?!?" asked Black.  "It shines my look!"

Oh brother...murmered Mary.

The next day Penny was up at six in the morning finding her costume.  "I thought it was in here.  No in here...ummm, oh here it is!"  Jackie helped her put it on.  Penny went to Black.  "How do I look" asked Penny.

Black squinted, "Um...you look like a big pumpkin!"

"That's what I am you big dummy!"

"Oh" said Black.  Mary was her normal self.  "Can I have a white blanket, Jackie?" asked Mary.

"Why surly!" said Jackie.  She got it.

"Put it on my back please," said Mary.

"There you go!" said Jackie  "Oh and Black can I ride you while we trick or treat?" asked Jackie.

"Sure" said Black.  They rode off to trick or treat.

"Hey where's Mary?" asked Black.

"First time you noticed something," said Penny.  All of a sudden a ghost came out of nowhere.  "Boo!" it said.

Jackie and the horses screamed.  They ran for their lives!  Finaly they stopped, "Woe!" said Jackie. "Now that was scary!"

"Yeh!" agreed Penny

"I wasn't scared!" said Black.

"Then why do I feel you shivering?" exclaimed Jackie.

"Oh, that's um..."

All of a sudden Mary apeared.  "Did you hear that we saw a ghost?" said Penny.

"Yeh you guys scream very loud!" said Mary.

"Oh" said Black.  "Sorry."  They hung their heads.  When they looked up Mary was gone.  In her place was the ghost.  They saw it looked like a big horse.  They didn't have very much time to find out because Black started screaming.  He sounded much louder than them all together.  He started galloping away with Jackie on his back.

"Woe Black!" she cried!  Black slowed down.  He finally stopped.  Penny trotted up tored them.  Then Mary came back.  "What happened?" she asked.

"The ghost!" Black choked out.

"This is getting realy misteryois" said Penny.

"Really" said Black.

"Yeh did you scream!" exclaimed Mary.

"Where were you?" asked Jackie.

"I chased a rabbit" she replied.  "I heard you scream.  I thought something was wrong."

"Are we going trick or treating or what?" asked Penny.

"Ok fine"  The moment they turned there backs they turned right back.  There was the ghost.  And as always it was in Mary's spot.  It was going up and down.

"Wait a minit," said Jackie.  She went right up to the ghost and pulled off the white sheet.

"Oh!" they all yelled! It was Mary!  Her head was boincing up and down.  Sudenly she stopped.  Looking up she started laphing again.  "What's so funny?" they asked.

"You guys!  You screamed so loud!" she said. "And Black was hylariois! He ran like lightning."

"Uh..." Black began.

"Guys, we had better get home," Jackie reminded them.

"Oh right," said Mary.  so they headed home.

"Next Halloween I'm going to be a giraffe!"

The Adventures of Penny, Mary & Black: Santa Claus

It was Christmas Eve.  The horses were troting around in the snow.  "You know what we should do?" Black asked.

"Yes!" said Penny.

"What?  Plant more grass?" said Mary.

"NO!" said Penny who was getting a little unpatient.

"Then what?" asked Black.

"We should stay up all night then see Santa!" said Penny.  Everyone was quiet.  Black broke the silence, "That sounds awsome!" he exclaimed!

Ummm, thought Mary.  "We can do it!" she said.  So that evening they stole apples and some carrots.  Even oats.

"I hope farmer Jackie dosn't mind" joked Penny.

"Yeh, I hope we didn't leave horse prints all over the house.  That would be realy bad," said worried Black.  "What if Santa dosn't like horses?" he asked with his mouth full.  "I wish we had hands like humans so that we don't have to hold onto these things with our mouth," he said.  They went into there stalls.

"Looks like Jackie put some new hay and water in here for us," said Penny.

"She gave us oats to!" exclaimed Black. "She must know our plan!" said Black.

"I sure do," said Jackie who was coming into the room.

"WHAT?" all the horses said together.

"I found you guys in the house," she said.  "I want to sleep with you and see Santa."

"You do?" they asked.

"Yes, I do," Jackie said again. "I'll go get my sleeping bag."  So she went.

"She's sleeping with us!!" Mary cried!  "I wonder why humans need sleeping bags to sleep?"

Then Jackie came back with a sleeping bag.  She laid it out.  "Ok, what should we do?" she asked as she cralled in.

"Eat! Eat!" shouted Mary.  So they did. When they finish Black asked Penny if she knew when Santa would be here.  She didn't answer.  He looked in her stall.  She was asleep.  He looked at Mary.  She was asleep.  And he looked at Jackie.  She fell asleep.  He looked at himself.  He was finaly asleep.  Santa came and went thinking, they really deserve those presents.  He hoped in his sliegh and yelled "Mary Christmas! Ho! Ho! Ho!"

The New Friend

One day Mary was grazing in the field.  She loves to eat!

"Hey Mare!" cried Penny, who was trotting near by.  "Why don't we go an adventure?"

"There's a new horse in the barn," said Mary.  She started to graze again.

"Let's go!  Let's go!" shouted Penny.

Well that just ruined my breakfast, thought Mary.  They galloped to the barn.  The new horse was sleek black with a orange rope around his neck.  He bucked and kicked.

"Hi," said Penny.  She started to walk fourth...

"WAIT Penny!" cried Mary.  She stopped Penny.  "He could be dangres"

The horse stopped kicking.  "Sorry," he said.  "I'm just a little nerves.  My name is Black.  What's yours?"

The girls just stared.  "Your so big!" said Penny.

"Well, I'm half mustang half I don't no."

"My name is Penny," said Penny. "And this is my friend Mary.  We call her Mare for short."

"You guys have pretty names," said Black.

"You have a handsome name!" The girls said together!

"Will you do me a favor?" Black asked.

"Sure" said Mary.

"Will you get me out of this stall and try to choo this rope off my neck.  It's killing me!"

Mare started chooing on the rope around his neck and Penny was undoing the lock.  When they finished their tasks, Black jumped in excitement.  "What do you guys want to do?" he asked.

"We could race each other to the field!" said Penny.

"Great ida!" said Black.  "On your marks, get set, GO!!!"
